Teia Ambrosoli notches up 150 games

5 Jul 2019 by Brian Groughan

The Clams play the Ratz this weekend at Rat Park for the annual Charlie Crook memorial shield in memory of one of our clubs stalwart and life members Richard Crook’s son Charlie.

The game coincides with another milestone for one of our players and deserves recognition. Teia Ambrosoli will line up and play his 150th game for the Old Bar Clams which will make him the third player in Clams history to achieve this remarkable effort and put him alongside Charlie’s father Richard Crook and Chad Lambert. Teia came to the Clams in 2006 as a fresh faced youngster who just wanted to play rugby.
In his time with the Clams he has gone on to play representative rugby and been involved in two grand final wins with the club.
Teia gives his all regardless of injury when out on the field as I am sure many of his opponents will attest to. In lean times Teia has been the glue holding this club together and was awarded life membership of the Clams in appreciation of his services.
I encourage anyone being friend or opposition to come along on game day and show your support for two very special people in our club. .
